MagmaTek.NZ has been serving the Ohakune/National Park and the Central Plateau area since 2022.

Founded by Graham and then Anton joined, MagmaTek.NZ goal is to provide services to individuals and businesses who are being more and more confused with interwebby jargon, abbreviations and complicated geek speak.

The name - MagmaTek.NZ - a play on the word "Magmatic", a liquid rock system under a volcano.

So, we solve the underlaying problems that burn from below.

Our staff speaks ENGLISH, yet are fluent in GEEK, so they can translate and explain the techie mumbo jumbo in easy to understand terms. This vision has grown to servicing the WAIBoP, King Country, and Central Plateau, and to support your vision and unlock your inner shine.

We will help make your business Sparkle, or if its not a business you have, we will help YOU with any WEbby Thingy or Techy Device, On-Grid or Off-Grid backcountry.

Having worked with a number of leading companies and agencies across many different industries for Technology, Audiovisual, Internet, Brand and Business, we know a bit.

That said, "GRASS ROOTS" are more important to us. Small businesses, Sole Traders, One Man Bands.

We need another... You Maybe?

Gray is a Kiwi, but spent most of his time as a Chef in Alberta Canada 5 years and on southern Vietnam Islands for 14 years before falling in love with his native New Zealand.

He wants to save the planet and have universal world peace. Oh hang on, he's not a beauty contestant! (Anton-"....but he is the BEST Chillie Maker Ever")

Since before his time as an apprentice chef, Gray was a GEEK and a NERD. Many friends and associates would ask him to help with their Tech, and before long he was earning a living in the Tech Industry all amongst Chefing and travelling.

In Alberta he qualified as a Chef and then a Master Chef. With this he then was lured to a resort off the coast of Vietnam, running 2 restaurants within the resort and one outside. 35 Staff as well as 2 Cabanas on the beach (ask about the "GRAY MARGARITA").

Being a Citizen of New Zealand, Gray moved to New Zealand. As things unfolded, as they do with all great ideas, a conversation developed in a Bar over a Beer or 3.

This is how MagmaTeK.NZ started. In a Bar in Ohakune, The PowderKeg!

Gray is the mainstay of MagmaTeK.NZ and keeps thinking of great new ways to improve businesses, and always has a food analogy!

Motto for Life: "Just add Chocolate, Coffee or Chilies - or all of the above"

Anton is half Kiwi, half Austrian, but spent most of his time chasing the snow as a Ski Instructor/Coach/Trainer in NZ, Austria, Japan and Canada. However, prior to this he started his working life in Avionics in the RNZAF.

While on snow in the 90's he made many films (**now available on his YouTube Channel - Please Like&Subscribe), which evolved into a Multimedia Production business in the early naughties and tens, converting Film, VHS and other formats to Digital, as well as Graphics and Animation, also Cinema Adverts.

He was lured away to create a bar/restaurant/microbrewery which adopted his Austrian Heritage. This business went from ZERO to SUCCESSFUL from 2012 thru opening in 2013 to his departure in 2020. He not only made the brews but made all Audio Visual and Marketing Media for the Brewpub, and the woodwork, metalwork and tables/seats are all of his handwork. (Gray- "Very Talented")

Continuing on with new projects, worked in Tech retail, supply and repair. On a particularly large job in Ohakune he went to a Bar, The PowderKeg. This is when he teamed up with Gray.
